About this blog
I created this blog to share experiences and pose questions that may encourage you to create more freedom for yourself, to be unlimited in your thinking and living. To encourage, to offer hope, to offer different choices, to bring humor and fun, to highlight what is going well in world and to bring love and peace to you. Where ever you are and whom ever you are, you are welcome here!
I was able to go to places and see things higher up and off the beaten track than I had though possible, it's good to go with the flow. The feeling of peace and connection with the universe is so strong up here.
One of the best decisions I have made, was to take a guided adventure tour in the mountains. This was in Swiss army jeep which was ideal for the dangerous rocky terrain. The first part of the tour was up in the Imogene Pass, which is very high up and covered a lot of the old mining areas. Notice the wild flowers, this was to be the first of many incredible sights.
There are many great things about Telluride, no stop signs, no traffic lights, no fast food places, no card dealers are a few of them. This makes for a lot of ease and a different way of life. There is a free gondola ride up the mountain to Mountain Village and the ski slopes and a lot of hotels and condos. The gondola is powered by wind energy, good for the environment and saves people driving into Telluride, which is also good for the environment. Here are some views from the gondola:
It was mid summer and time for an extended road trip and some adventure, the venue for this was Telluride and what a great time it was. Here are some of the photographs on the way there:
Abraham was recently in town for a seminar, it’s always a
delight to hang out and feel that room full of good energy and see who the
universe has sent to sit next to me. I was not disappointed and it was very
interesting to say the least.
The first encounter was a man visiting from out of town for
the event, he mentioned that he was trying to raise money to trade options in
the stock market. I asked him how it was going, and he said it was a little
difficult, yet he was sure he was on to a good thing. He felt more capital
would allow him more opportunities, which can be true. I asked how he was
getting on with the money he had, and he replied he was doing okay, yet he also
said it was difficult as he felt the financial markets were a bit of scam and
were easily manipulated.
I asked him how he felt trying to earn a living
participating in something he thought was a scam. His response was a bit of a
ramble, none of which was connected to how he felt. We continued to chat and he
came back to the scam belief again, going deeper into it than before and again
I asked he felt about his participating in such a thing if it was based on a
scam. Again he responded without getting into how he felt. As the conversation
continued he revealed some of his losses and blamed large companies in New
York for them and yet again after being asked how he
felt, he couldn’t go there.
Now this man didn’t have to say how he felt, he didn’t know me;
I was just a guy off the street.
This did provide a very clear example of something I observe
quite often, the inability to feel and connect with a feeling when we are
involved in something we have a belief about, especially a belief along the
lines in this example.
For example let’s say this man was feeling nervous,
cautious, and fearful risking his money in something that he had a belief was
rigged. This is not far off the mark and would be at the back of his mind
during his decision making process. With these emotions at play, he has very
little chance of success, there is a lot of split energy.
Obviously it’s not easy to change a belief like the one in
this example, there has been a history of misdeeds, yet for all of those
misdeeds from the past they pale in comparison to the amount of time without
any problems, when trillions of dollars trade without incident. The former
certainly capture the headlines and the blame to it’s easy to have that belief.
So for now assume he keeps the belief.
If he changes the emotional part, the nervous, cautious and
fearful part of the equation to relaxed, confident and optimistic or along
those lines,he will be in an emotional
place to feel when something doesn’t feel right and act accordingly. Everything
carries an energy and the recent mortgage misdeeds could be felt ahead of time.
When he feels something is not right he would stay out of the market or
particular stock, however if he is fearful etc, it would be unlikely he would feel
this.
The best way to work from the original emotional state to
the new one in this example is to practice on paper, acting like he was really
buying options and repeating the process until he felt confident.
He can also come up with some other beliefs that are also true and combine that with the new emotions too.
One of my weekly highlights is my visit to the Boulder Great Harvest Bread Company. The energy and atmosphere in there is just relaxing and everyone feels happy, actually everyone is happy. With all that love and happiness the bread and the sandwiches taste just much better.
You see if you are happy and creating bread or anything else for that matter, that gets mixed in with the ingredients and you can really tell the difference in the taste.
I was speaking with on of the employees and they were saying how everyone enjoys working there, the owner is very caring and looks after the employees and the staff turnover is virtually zero. Everyone knows how to do every job in the bakery and you can see them just jumping from one thing to another where ever is needed, without being asked.
For the customers there are free slices of bread, butter too if you like, some just come in for the free slice, others buy, there is no judgment either way.
A good recipe for success and loyalty don't you think?
A venerable old man observed a young fellow sitting at a park bench. The younger man was obviously distressed and sad. The old man approached and asked what could be so bad to cause such trouble to one so new to the world. The young man looked up and said I want to find love.
The old man smiled and sat down on the park bench next to his distressed friend. After a moment he turned to him and said, “May I have some apples?” The young fellow turned to him with a perplexed look and replied, “I have no apples.” The old man paused for a moment and then reiterated, “May I please have some of your apples?” The young man in a controlled voice said, “I told you a moment ago I do not have any apples, if I did you could have all you wanted.”
The old man paused, looked skyward for a minute then turned to him and said in a deliberate tone, “I understand, but may I please have some of your apples?” The young man turned and retorted, “Listen old man I told you I do not have any damn apples to give you. If I have one you could have it!”
At this the old man stood up and looking into the eyes of the younger man spoke with great compassion and wisdom, “And there in lies the rub. You cannot give away what you do not have. If you do not have any apples you cannot give me an apple. If you do not have love for yourself how can you give away love? If you do not have joy how can you give away joy? You cannot look for love you can only be love.” And with that the old man walked away with a smile on his face and a spring in his step.
On another road trip I ended up in a town called Rifle, which is going through a lot of growth thanks to gas and oil drilling. Away from all of that are some great natural spots including Rifle Falls, which lacked the beautiful hike that Hanging Lake offered. It is still a nice spot though, with open caves not far from the falls, I know, this has been a gondola and cave summer!
