The year end is fast approaching and there is no question that at the moment it takes a lot of effort to staying focused and positive when there is so much pessimism around. There is no need to be perfect in your attempts to stay optimistic and hopeful, so long as there is more time being optimistic as opposed to being pessimistic then you will do well.
I'm going to repeat the posts from last year that a lot of people found helpful:
The end of the calender year is fast approaching, so it's a good opportunity to look at your complaints and see if there is a way to transform some of them and lead a better life with more ease for next year. People have a tendency to keep repeating the same complaints about the same thing over and over again and another year goes by and nothing changes.
Well of course not! Change is virtually impossible in an environment where you maintain the same complaint about a situation over and over again, in fact it may even be getting a little worse.
As we go through the week, I will ask you to write down what it is you are complaining about a certain topic and ask you if you are willing to let the complaint go. I will ask if you are willing to focus on what you want instead. If you feel the need to be right I will ask that if you are then willing to at least look for 2 good things about the situation if you insist on keeping the complaint alive.
If you are willing to be consistent and look at the situation differently instead of complaining then next year will be better than this year.
