I'm sure you have been hearing the outcry from congress about the bonuses paid at financial institutions, especially those who received bailout funds. Like everything else about the financial bubble, bonus money got carried away, it does need balancing out.
However when congress is the one saying that it's a waste of taxpayer funds and it's not right, then things will change at a slow pace. The energy gets split when you complain about that, then do the same thing when you add all those earmarks and pork spending to the recent $410 billion spending bill.
Maybe all this rage is just a diversionary tactic to hide and cover up what they are doing. It's also evident when a cheating spouse picks on the other one in an extreme way to cover up what they have done.
Having the financial discipline in congress would at least give you a platform to be taken seriously.
