I was recently in a Starbucks, somewhere in the US. I observed a young male come in and ask the manager if they had any jobs, she replied not at the moment and that they hold on to applications. He took and application and left.
A short while later a young woman came in and asked the manager if the had any jobs, she replied that she didn't at the moment and they hold on to applications. Then she said that they an opening at the store in the nearby mall.
I wondered why she was more helpful to female and not for the male. Well we tend to have a bias, sometimes it's for the same sex, sometimes it's for some thing that is familiar to us, such as the hair color, which was the same in this case, other times we just pick a vibe, what I would call energy. memories come in to play, it could be the male resembled someone from her past.
Some people are unaware that they do things like this, it is so ingrained. It might not be noticeable in some cases, others it is more noticeable, especially in families or at work. You may find less resentment if you do more for everyone, if that is too much of a struggle, be aware of who is watching and listening, humans are constantly evaluating whether they are being treated fairly.
It might bring more ease into your life.
