I took the opportunity to drive along the highest continuous road in the USA, yes right here in Colorado through the national park. At it's highest point the road is at 12,100 feet, above the tree line as you will see from the photos. The road is closed in the winter and usually opens again in May due to the snow and blowing snow, it gets very windy up there.
